Responsibilities Responsible for care of Mentally ill patients in a multidisciplinary setting Requires ability to provide both physical and emotional assessment and care Some of the responsibilities include: patient assessment, milieu management, delegation to team members, documentation in the automated medical record, interface with MDs and families, crisis intervention, admit/discharge, medication administration, and crisis management Qualifications Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing RN license in Minnesota Experience working in acute mental Health inpatient unit is required Charge nurse experience highly desirable BLS Certification May consider a new grad with a minimum of 2 years acute care Mental Health experience Skills: Excellent critical thinking skills Attention to detail Must be able to multitask and have good conflict management abilities Good communication skills and listening skills Must be able to work well in multidisciplinary setting Must be able to apply the nursing process Basic computer skills are necessary RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility. Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule Part-time: 32 hours/week Day/Eve Shift: 7:30am-4pm & 3:30pm-12am (midnight) Every other weekend MNA Contract Location/Community Information Minneapolis boasts being both cosmopolitan yet small enough that you can find a place to call home whether on a lake, golf course, or in an adjoining suburb.
