Location: Eden Prairie Minnesota

Entry-level support position, requiring guidance and training. Manages assigned caseload of disability claims for long- term disability. Under close supervision, inputs claimant medical and demographic data; evaluates claimant eligibility; develops plan to address disability obstacles and plans with claimants, attending physician and employer; monitors medical condition of cla! imant, discusses return to work with employer; integrates individual rehab/return to work plans into ongoing medical treatment; monitors social security decisions and other disability income benefits; decides payment period, follows up and monitors payment accuracy and timeliness; follows plan to closure. .

Manage all absence requests within appropriate service metrics.

Respond to all customer inquiries within time standards.

Conduct an evaluation of all absences, including a review of all medical information, and determine whether to approve or deny.

Obtain a medical review from a Nurse Case Manager when necessary.

Identify when additional information is required to make a decision on an absence request and gather the information.

Provide all necessary communication to all parties including employees, policyholders, health care providers and other internal team members.

Meet all service & performance metrics an! d expectations.

Adhere to all legal/compliance requir! ements.

Maintain FMLA and absence information in the system, including comprehensive activity notes. Provide reports detailing essential information on open and closed absences.

Identify escalated cases and develop a plan to address key issues.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required. BA degree preferred.
Prior customer service related work experience required

Call center experience preferred

Prior FMLA or Disability Claims experience (preferred)
