A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients/clients. The RN delivers care to the patient/! client through the nursing process. This individual effectively interacts with patient/client, care partners and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The RN plans, supervises, and evaluates the care of each patient/client. The RN ensures that the status of the patient's/client's condition is effectively communicated to the healthcare professional.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
License/Certificates:
RN License to practice in the State of Minnesota. American Heart Association CPR Certification.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Exercises concern for the patient's welfare, maintains knowledge of the patient's condition, administers medication and performs treatment while practicing and maintaining high ethical standards.
Registered Nurses provide direct care to patients and are a part of all care given b! y other departments. Registered Nurses must continually strive! to provide the highest quality of care possible for the patients. They must also lead the nursing team toward the achievement of the goals of the goal of the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. High quality care and overall efficiency are essential components to this success.
Responsible for the direct and indirect care of residents/patients assigned to her/him under the guidance of the Director of Nursing and/or Assistant Director of Nursing, maintains accurate and complete records of nursing assessments and care, and counsels of the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
Remains up-to-date on new nursing skills and technology, utilizing the nursing process (observation, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the delivery of care.
Performs duties in accordance with physician's orders, the Medical Center's policies, methods, and techniques, and in coordinating with other departments and Medical Center personnel.
Provides leadership and promotes teamwork.
When requested, participates in in-service programs, education programs, and orientation of new personnel.
Performing a Can-Do Spirit while other duties may be assigned.
