Description: Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is presently looking of RN - Nurse Procedure, Protime & Refills 1.0 FTE D right now, this vacancy will be placed in Minnesota. Follows the RN process for nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation of care, and evaluation of patient progress.
2.Supervises and acts as a resource to LPN/CMA nursing staff according to Minnesota Nurse Practice Act (NPA).
3.Provides patient and staff education.
4.Delegates as necessary.
5.Performs RN job duties in the clinic as assigned. The following list is not all-inclusive and any other task or job may be assigned in the futu! re.

Works cooperatively with the providers to assess the needs of each patient on an individual basis and provide the services necessary to meet these needs.
Runs Anticoagulation Clinic with proper assessment, therapy recommendations, and documentation.
Performs EKGâs and chest pain / cardiac assessment when appropriate.
Performs BLS per AHA guidelines.
Refills medication prescriptions per established protocols.
Diabetic educators provide patient education in group and individual sessions, community education, and staff education, and provide therapy recommendations per established protocols.
Other duties may include, but are not limited to; wound care, injections, suture removal, catheter insertion, bladder installations, phone triage when appropriate, and other duties as assigned.
1Monitors the medications to assure all expired medications are disposed of properly.
Understands the procedures for cleaning spills, etc., and is able! to follow through on an as needed basis assuring no risk of safety violations or hazards.
Helps keep track of supplies and follows guidelines for reordering.

Delegate and supervise as needed, according to Minnesota NPA.

Responsible for being available based upon scheduled hours.

Contacts Nursing Manager as soon as possible when needing to take a sick day.
Qualifications
Has completed an approved course of study in nursing leading to an associate degree, diploma, or a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
2. Has achieved assing scores on a state board exam for professional nursing, and holds current RN license in the State of Minnesota.
3. Demonstrates clinical competence in providing direct patient care and patient and family education as well as assisting the physician in the delivery of patient care.
Has current BLS certification (or is willing to obtain within two months of employment.)
Clinic experience preferred.
