Pine Technical College is seeking a Project Manager that will provide leadership and implementation of the recently awarded Health Professions Pathways (H2P) Grant. This tem! porary (up to three-year) position is funded by the Department of Labor Employment & Training and will work collaboratively with the Health Care Alliance to advance higher education health care related programs.

The Health Professions Pathways (H2P) Grant is part of PTC's Strategic Initiatives department and will report to the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development.

Examples of Duties:
The Project Manager will be responsible for goals and training initiatives ensuring that all college, state, and federal regulations are followed, policies and procedures are developed and and implemented related to grant activities. Manage the H2P Grant fiscal and program data. Train and direct grant personnel; assigning and reviewing work, ensure grant projects meet deadlines and are fiscally sound. Research funding sources to sustain and grow the H2P Grant initiatives.

Typical Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications

Baccalaureate! degree in a relevant field, i.e., Health care, Public Adminis! tration, Social Work, Education, STEM fields or other related field.
Five years of advanced professional level experience in developing curriculum for and/or implementing new training and academic program or federally funded department of labor employment or training.
Experience with a complex-consortium model.
Demonstrated experience in fiscal management and reporting.
Demonstrated experience in grant or data reporting processes.
Possess a valid driver's license, ability to travel to multiple location, including, overnight travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a related field, i.e., Public Administration, Social Work, Education, STEM field or other related fields.
Leadership experience with a complex-consortium model.
Experience in employment services, public assistance programs, social service programs, or workforce development.
Grant writing experience.
Experience working in higher education environme! nt.

Supplemental Information:
PTC is a two-year technical college offering certificates, diplomas and degrees in technical disciplines. Founded in 1966 as the Pine City Area Vocational-Technical School, the college was re-designated as a State Technical Institute and later as a Technical College in 1992. In 1994, the college sought and received accreditation through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Pine Technical College, located in Pine City, is the fastest growing institution in the Minnesota State College and University system, with enrollments growth of over 60% since 2006. Students come from five different states across the upper Midwest and, occasionally, foreign countries.

PTC currently occupies a 98,000 square foot modern and attractive main campus, with plans underway to add an over 11,000 square foot Entrepreneurship Center and Technology Business Incubator across the street from the main building.
The College is one of MnSCU's most innovative campuses, with an adva! nced technology manufacturing lab, rapid prototyping capabilities, and advanced simulation technology in its nursing programs. It is also known for its regional collaborations, which include an area Manufacturing Alliance and a regional Health Care Alliance. The College and its partners have received over $8M in federal grants over the past two years to advance higher education in those disciplines in the region.

PTC is on the national map for those initiatives and for its internationally-known Johnson Center for Simulation. The JCS develops 3D immersive virtual reality simulations and computer games for industrial training purposes, and its products have been shown in trade shows in Germany and China, as well as across the United States. It customers include DuPont, the University of Minnesota and the U.S. Department of Defense, among many others.
