This position will be a telecommute position. The location can be either in Denver, Sacramento or St. Paul Minnesota.

This is an excellent opportunity for a software engineer who is seeking a tight partnership with their business customer. This role will feature substantial integration within the Patient Financial Services area and because it is a new position, you will have a significant opportunity in helping in its definition and boundaries. Key to this role is the ability to triage issues quickly, to assess them from a technical and business perspective, and to efficiently and effectively address the issues with programmatic or process based solutions.

Generically, an individual qualifying for this role will have proven skills and capabilities in the following areas

Perform system analysis and development for systems integration, software application development, maintenance and support activities.

Perform root cause analysis for production issues in the applications. Fix the problems and perform enhancements to prevent future application problems.

Perform testing for application support and development related activities. Work with business and QA teams to develop test scripts and perform testing.

Creates and maintains reports using Crystal Reporting toolset.

Access SQL based databases via SQL based code for reporting and data analysis.

Create and maintain programs using Oracle SQL and/or PL/SQL.

Follow SDLC processes for application support and development.

Develop system solutions for business problems.

Work closely with lead systems analyst and business in defining requirements.

Participate in code design reviews.

Create and design technical documentation.

Develop test plans, perform testing and document results.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a complex environment.

Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Specifically, the person assuming this role will be asked to execute the following functions utilizing Lawson's MediAR billing / collection system:

Understand the data structures in the MediAR system and perform ad-hoc queries into the data to support data analysis activities.

Understand how Coram is using the data structures and fields in MediAR in order to provide technical support to business personnel as required.

Create custom reporting by collecting and documenting user requirements and then using Crystal reporting to develop the reports.

Be responsible for triage of all interfaces and custom programming that was done in MediAR in support of the project.

Assist in the development other functionality or interfaces that may be necessary go-forward.

Qualifications

Education or experience equivalent to a four year degree in Information Systems (IS) or releated discipline is required.

3-6 years experience in Information Systems is required.

Strong background in application development and support, understand systems development life cycle process.

Experience in creating complex SSIS and SSRS packages desired.

Expertise in designing and developing of SQL Server solutions.

Excellent communication skills, strong analytical & logical abilities in system analysis & technical documentation.

Experience in implementing software projects that impact multiple platforms.

Excellent planning and troubleshooting skills.

Proactive in issue escalation and resolution.

Experience with working in matrixed environment and project teams.

Goal oriented, proactive, responsive.

Focused on quality of deployed software.

Experience with combined "legacy and future state" production environments.

Extensive experience in developing and supporting applications in an healthcare based revenue cycle environment.
