PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- Join a group of 3 adult psychiatrists and 1 Nurse Practitioner as part of a Behavioral Health Care Team in Brainerd. Currently also recruiting an Adult Psychiatrist.
- Inpatient/outpatient position. Inpatient part of practice is at Lakeland Psychiatry Clinic. Busy practice involves patients with the ful! l range of psychiatric illnesses. Four most common diseases seen are Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Major Depression and Dementia. No committed patients.
- Call will be 1:7 when an additional NP and Psychiatrist are hired. Charge Nurse screens all calls. Hours are typically 8am-3pm. 3pm-8am night call person covers.
- Adult in-patient unit has 22 beds at Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center . Average inpatient 13-14 a day. Average length of stay is 6 days. Admissions come from all over the state of MN. 6 of the 22 beds are for Geriatric patients. No contracted beds. LOCATION

Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Master’s prepared and successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Current licensure as registered nurse in Minnesota .
- Current certification as a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner in Minnesota .
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire/transfer.
