PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- Join a group of 3 adult psychiatrists and 1 Nurse Practitioner as part of a Behavioral Health Care Team in Brainerd. Currently also recruiting an Adult Psychiatrist.
- Inpatient/outpatient position. Inpatient part of practice is at Lakeland Psychiatry Clinic. Busy practice involves patients with the full range of psy! chiatric illnesses. Four most common diseases seen are Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Major Depression and Dementia. No committed patients.
- Call will be 1:7 when an additional NP and Psychiatrist are hired. Charge Nurse screens all calls. Hours are typically 8am-3pm. 3pm-8am night call person covers.
- Adult in-patient unit has 22 beds at Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center . Average inpatient 13-14 a day. Average length of stay is 6 days. Admissions come from all over the state of MN. 6 of the 22 beds are for Geriatric patients. No contracted beds. LOCATION

Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Master’s prepared and successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Current! certification as a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner in Minnesota .
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire/transfer.
