Würth Baer Supply Company is one of the nation's leading specialty wholesale distributors to the woodworking industry, offering an extensive inventory of decorative and functional hardware and fittings, tools, shop supplies, surfacing materials, and board and panel products.
We are currently seeking a reliable and responsible Driver - CDL B to support our Londonderry, NH facility and product delivery operations. We have two positions open for this role.
You will help load the company truck and transport Wurth Baer Supply products to customers when needed. The cargo consists of cabinets, hardware, wood/laminate, and lacquer/finish. You will use an app via a company-provided cell phone to plan your route. As one of the most often seen representatives of the Company, you will conduct yourself in a positive and friendly manner and provide quality service with each delivery. When needed, you will assist with general warehouse operations (receiving, picking, etc.). Customers are all pretty regular so it is easy to develop a good rapport. Clean and organized facility. Trucks are always loaded indoors. Great team!!
An essential function of this role requires employees to lift and lower packages that may weigh up to 70 pounds. Attention to safety is vital, the use of proper lifting and lowering techniques should be used at all times (adjust your body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot). You may also need to become accustomed to the fluctuating temperatures in which you will perform your duties. As this position is customer-facing, an excellent customer focus attitude is critical for success.
Driver Schedule, Stops, and Vehicle:
Drivers will work one of the following shifts Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm, 6:30am-3:00pm, or 7:00am-3:30pm and are expected to finish their daily routes. Typical driver schedule is You will serve 6 to 8 stops daily ranging from 240-380 miles of total driving. Drivers will operate a curtain-side 24-foot truck with a 10-speed manual transmission.
Qualifications:
- A valid Class B
- 1+ years of experience driving manual transmission 10-speed Tractor Trailer is a plus
- A clean driving record for the past three years in all states where licensed
- Pass a medical examination for commercial driver fitness and obtain the required medical card in compliance with 49 CFR 391.43
- Pass a pre-employment screening for DOT controlled substances, in compliance with 49 CFR 40 and 49 CFR 382.
- Previous warehousing experience preferred
- Good problem-solving skills
