EMT-B is responsible for providing pre-hospital emergency medical care. Performs activities and functions according to the Emergency Medical Services Regulatory board (EMSRB) guidelines and departmental policies. Provides patient centered care and incorporates the customer service behaviors in interactions with patients and families. When working on first call will perform a variety of interruptible duties.
Required Experience
State registration as an EMT-B is required.
National registration as an EMT-B is recommended.
Current MN Drivers license is required along with a driving record which ensures coverage by the organization’s liability insurance carrier.
Must have current healthcare CPR.
Required Knowledge,! Skills and Abilities
The EMT’s duties are highly i! nter-related with paramedics and must function professionally with and maintain good communication and good working relationship with nursing staff, First Responders, patient and family members as well as with other community emergency services.
