All Certified Nursing Assistants - Resident Assistant! s are trained in housekeeping, laundry, dietary, social and activities services that directly affect the resident’s environment. Services are provided for adult and geriatric residents in accordance with federal and state standards, guidelines, regulations, and facility policies; under the supervision of a Household Coordinator.
The Certified Nursing Assistants - Resident Assistant provides each resident with routine daily nursing care in accordance with the resident’s assessment, choices and care plan under the supervision of a licensed nurse to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Each Certified Nursing Assistant - Resident Assistant is assigned to a primary household of residents, working with a multidisciplinary team.
All Household Staff are members of a cross-trained work team. Their purpose is to plan and coordinate resident care creating a HOME and strengthening COMMUNITY to establish a sense of belonging, u! sefulness and purpose in each resident’s daily life.
Required Skills
C.N.A. Certification required. Must be 16 years of age to be employed.
The C.N.A. - Resident Assistant must be currently registered as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Minnesota or eligible for registry upon completion of an approved nursing assistant course and/or competency evaluation.
Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credit for each year. (12 hours required annually.)
