DUTIES:
I ncumbent serves as Manager for the Mental Health Special Pr! ograms. Incumbent is the direct supervisor of interdisciplinary professional staff, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses. Incumbent has responsibility for coordinating interdisciplinary staffing, work assignments, budget, treatment services provided, program development oversight and admission criteria of the programs. The incumbent manages and controls the use of data related to these programs regarding day to day functioning and program evaluation. In conjunction with the Service Line Director, plans, organizes and directs administrative, operational, patient and personnel activities for the service. The incumbent assists in planning, establishing, and implementing policies and procedures. The incumbent will assure that the staff whom they supervise are aware of, adhere to all current directives of VHA, and meet current Joint Commission standards, state licensure standards, and VA-OIG expectations. The incumbent conducts ongoing intensive reviews and apprai! sals to ensure the accomplishment of objectives and adherence ! to standards set by governing bodies. The incumbent also provides direct clinical services on a limited basis.

Full unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required
Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and/or accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
