or Every other weekend) Primary Function:
& Major Responsibilities Plans, directs and coordinates the operations of site-based physician support staff personnel across three sites (St. Johns, St. Joes, and Woodwinds) and 3 diverse physician specialties (Hospital Medicine Services, Emergency Department, In-House OB). Provides direct oversight and leadership to support staff personnel and meets customer needs by improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and consistency of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies including establishing best
practice and standard work.

Coordinate, manage and monitor the day to day operations of assigned areas. Ensure that customer service initiatives are being met and are in alignment with the HealthEast vision statement. Promotes HealthEast values and core behaviors an! d maintains consistent environment across sites.

Responsible for the direction and management of assigned staff. Ensures that the work being done by nonclinical support staff is within their scope. Implements and communicates Human Resource policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner. Performance management including: coaching, corrective action, staff recognition, staff training and development, employee rounding, and skill assessment. Conducts timely performance evaluations consistent with HealthEast policy. Selects qualified employees for employment according to Human Resources policy and employee relations laws and guidelines. Monitors employee turnover, overtime and absenteeism for the department and takes appropriate action to address problems/issues.

Provides and documents ongoing training for employees and self (including orientation and in-service education) as required by regulatory agencies and HealthEast standards. Conducts regular ! meetings with employees. Communicates high level organizational message! s and ensures compliance with new initiatives such as VBI. Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions. Establishes and maintains a healthy, collaborative and productive team atmosphere. Promotes an environment conducive to staff satisfaction and retention. Ensures
that equipment is maintained in proper condition and repairs are requested when necessary. Ensure operations are in compliance with government or other regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, JCAHO).

Manages costs of operating assigned areas. Participates in development of personnel, operating expenses and capital budgets for areas of responsibility. Maintains appropriate staffing as evidenced by budgetary analysis and department indicators. Manages position control report and recommends action as warranted. Investigates and recommends alternatives to the established budget based on the most cost effective use of resources. Utilizes financial resources within the established budget and seeks approval fo! r variances as needed. Pursues cost savings or revenue generation within area of responsibility. Partners with Directors to plan effective strategies for maintaining the financial well being of HealthEast.
Produces and maintains records, reports and other documents related to, and in support of department activities.

Records and files are properly organized to allow access to information when needed. Produce reports, maintains records and other documents as requested, including: Quality Incentive Plan metrics, Productivity calculations, CMS Core Measures and OFI’s, physician scorecards, HCAHPS, and physician survey results. Manages and keeps Team Spaces site up to date. Oversees the physician on-boarding process. Qualifications: Education:
4 year college degree required in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or
other related field.

Experience: Two years supervisory experience leading or directing the work of others, or ! equivalent combination of Education and Experience . Previous experienc! e in healthcare setting
required. Previous experience working in operations desired.

Speicialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated physician relation’s skills. Understanding of HealthCare Reimbursement
