We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to assist our patients and their families with effective care. You will assist patients and families in optimally managing their health care, respecting their culture and values, as well as helping to identify individual needs, health goals, and treatment preferences. This position is a 0.8 FTE, working primarily out of our Roseville clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN licensure in Minnesota
  • Current RN licensure in Wisconsin within two months of hire
  • Current CPR certification required within 6 months of hire, and maintain
  • Strongly demonstrated written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One year full time employment as an RN
  • Recent triage experience (Recent is defined as within the last five years).

  • Makes appropriate nursing referrals.
  • Uses interdisciplinary resources to enhance own clinical decision making
  • Provides continuity among home, office, clinic setting and community.
  • Uses appropriate systems, automated or manual, to obtain patient information or schedule appointments following NSFP procedures and guidelines.
EDUCATION:
A. Definition:
Education imparts knowledge designed to develop skills, to enhance decision-making, and to promote understanding. It includes interaction with the patient, family and community, as well as participating in formal and informal professional education.

B. Performance is up to standard when:
1. Patient / Family / Community:
  • Identifies patient and family needs and develops a plan for education and/or makes appropriate nursing referrals.
  • Teaches techniques or knowledge necessary for prevention, management or rehabilitation.
  • Engages in ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of teaching in terms of understanding and application.
2. Professional:
  • Participates in patient care conferences, in-services and educational programs in the HealthPartners/GHI/NSFP system, hospital and community.
  • Develops new opportunities, tools or methods of teaching.
