Minnesota Masonic Home North Ridge is home to more than 643 residents. The North Ridge community includes senior apartments, personal care suites, and 24-hour skilled nursing care.
Working in a senior apartment building, this job performs food production activities. Work involves responsibility for preparation of quality food, and direct handling of food, dishes and equipment in a safe and sanitary manner. Opens and/or closes kitchen cooler and storage areas.
DUTIES
Aides in menu planning and changes in the food service operation. Prepares quality food in proper quantity and according to portion quidelines. Assists in maintaining current recipe file. Maintains the cleanliness of work areas and kitchen equipment.
This position works every other weekend only. Saturdays 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Sundays 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous food service experience is helpful. Prefer graduate of quantity cooking course or experience. Prefer knowledge of food preparation, therapeutic diets, sanitation and operation of kitchen equipment. Must be able to physically lift and carry heavy amounts. Aides in menu planning and changes in the food service operation. Prepares quality food in proper quantity and according to portion quidelines. Assists in maintaining current recipe file. Maintains the cleanliness of work areas and kitchen equipment.
