Job Description The nurse practitioner or physician assistant will care for patients with hematologic diseases with a focus on Multiple Myeloma. The role will primarily involve the outpatient management of established adult patients, with a focus on the care of patients on clinical trials. This is a busy practice with consistent patient demand for services. The Hematology consultants are very supportive and this group has been a leader in care models that incorporate nurse practitioners and physician assistants into practice.
This individual will work as a team with hematology consultants, fellows, residents, nurses and other allied health staff caring for Hematology patients. The division also has an established and active inpatient NP/PA program supporting the BMT and hospital-based outpatient practices. j2wmay
Basic Qualifications:
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as an ANP, FNP, or ACNP (certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment date). Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire. The candidate must be eligible for DEA registration.
Other Qualifications:
Experience in hematology, blood and marrow transplant, oncology, internal medicine, or acute care preferred.
License or Certification:

Weekend Schedule:
Compensation Detail: Salaried - Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every two weeks is approximately $3473.60 based on a full-time position
