Description: Clinicor is at the momment seeking for RN right now, this position will be placed in Minnesota. Detailed specification about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct supervision of care giving within the residence.
Assures residents are treated with respect and dignity, recognizing individual needs and encouraging independence.
Fosters ! a homelike atmosphere throughout the residence.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ASSOCIATED TASKS

1) Resident Care

a) Manages the health care of all residents, including the dissemination of information to families and staff.

b) Facilitates continuity of care for those residents receiving home health care services.

c) Communicates with resident’s physicians re: resident’s status and condition changes.

d) Assesses residents on a scheduled and as-needed basis, records significant conditions and changes. Responsible for nursing department 24/7, shares on-call duties.

e) Notifies Administrator/physician/family of resident’s condition and changes, treatments and significant incidents.

f) Coordinates with other departments to assure quality, pro-active care.

g) Initiates a resident care plan according to the individualized needs of the resident, as prescribed by physician and/or facility policy. Provid! es resident and family instruction. Stays current on all nursi! ng cares and procedures by attending educational seminars.

h) Explains procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation, understanding and alleviate apprehension.

i) Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol.

2) Leadership and Supervision

a) Provide supervision and mentoring of resident care staff in the administration of medications and other resident care.

b) Coaches and counsels employees on matters of patient care.

c) Provides staff performance related updates and information to Assisted Living Administrator.

d) Provides initial and ongoing training and education to staff. This includes classroom in-services and situation specific training. Instructs monthly in-services, regular RA/Nursing meetings. Orientates all new nursing staff, follows staff through orientation period.

e) Supervises the maintenance of resident charts, reviews do! cumentation performed by care giving staff including medication administration records.

f) Monitors all as needed medication is given. Signs med book weekly on PRNs.

g) Problem solves all staff/resident concerns/issues.

h) Promotes company in a positive manner and communicates company’s values to all audiences.

3) Administrative, Documentation, and Communication Duties

a) Infection Control monitoring.

b) Review of all incident reports providing needed follow up.

c) Review of all medication errors and staff re-training.

d) Maintains all TB records in compliance with MN Department of Health.

e) Works with pharmacist to ensure all medications are given properly.

f) Conducts pre-admission screening of prospective residents. Updates pre-admission assessment of residents as appropriate.

g) Before and upon resident admission, completes all required documentation including nursing a! ssessments, plans of care, medications and other assigned forms.
h) Updates Home Care Provider Client Roster monthly.

i) Organizes monthly podiatrist visits.

j) Maintains nursing attendance records.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1) Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

2) MN Registered Nurse license in good standing

3) Two years experience in a health care setting working with seniors

4) Able to read, write and speak English

5) Good computer software skills

6) Skill in recognizing physical, mental, and emotional needs of residents

7) Ability to exhibit professional behavior and attitudes

8) Good interpersonal and communication skills

9) Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations and nursing standards.

10) Must be able to handle stress, and be calm under pressure

11) Current BLS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1.) Ability to kneel, crouch, stoop, sit, stand, reach, stretch

2.) Ability to c! limb stairs

3.) Ability to push and pull up to 30 pounds rarely

4.) Ability to lift up to 20 pounds rarely

5.) Ability to reach above and below shoulders

6.) Ability to use fingers to grasp, twist, and pull

7.) Ability to see, hear, speak, smell

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

1.) Must have access to reliable transportation

2.) Able to respond to emergency calls, and work on call as necessary.
