Registered Nurse

This position provides professional registered nurse services in a long term, skilled care facility. Assess residents' needs, suggest appropriate nursing interventions, implement orders and routines, and deliver skilled nursing care. Ma y coordinate, delegate and review work of other nursing staff members.
This position is initially eligible for health care benefits with partial employer contribution.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse, in good standing
- Knowledge of nursing practices and techniques sufficient to provide effective nursing care for residents
- Skill in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships
- Effective communication skills sufficient to provide and follow oral and written instructions
- Computer experience sufficient to complete electronic charting and use basic computer functions such as email
- Ability to make decisions within the scope of nursing responsibilities
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care pro vided by other staff, make or recommend changes, and provide mentoring
- Ability to teach self-help skills to residents
Note: If you are not currently licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse, you must be able to obtain licensure by date of hire
Additional Requirements
This position requires successful completion of the following:
- A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check will be conducted on finalists for this position. Finalists must pass the DHS background check.
- A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest s-ray) is required prior to employment.
- Employment reference checks will be conducted on finalists. This may include a review of documentation related to job performance and contact with the applicant's former employer(s).
