Nurse Practitioner - (NP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 07/08/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Locum Tenens h! ealthcare provider Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician or a mid-level Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide cover for 6 months with the option to extend. Physician or Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be providing Compensation & Pension Exams to Veterans in a Primary Care setting. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. No Call. Any State License. Provide primary care to a panel of approximately 1200 patients. Must have BCLS. Site uses computerized medical records system. Enter physicians assessment, history, and physical findings, the results for diagnostice testing such as lab and radiology, the physicians plan of care and medication reconciliation.
A nurse practitioner (NP)(locum tenens) is a registered nurse (RN) with specialization in a specific area of medicine, such as family medicine or pediatrics. A nurse practitioner has completed a master’s program in nursing and ha! s earned board certification in a chosen specialty. An NP is a! ble to provide a wide range of medical services, from conducting physical examinations and taking down patient history to performing more complex procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.
