The Journey Clinic is a Pediatric Center for Hematology/ Oncology and Blood and Marrow Transplantation. It is also an Infusion Center for children who have a variety of complex chronic illnesses.

This position requires a specialized Registered Nurse (RN) who performs both independent nursing care and works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. The RN makes assessments, plans, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for children from all pediatric specialty populations in the Infusion Center. Daily responsibilities include infusing chemotherapy, blood products, IV medications, performing timed tests, accessing central lines and starting IVs. The RN is responsible ! for performing these functions in accordance with all policy, ! procedure, and professional practice guidelines. This position also requires the RN to manage phone triage, provide patient education, use an electronic medical record, and monitor standards of care. In order to qualify for this role, you must possess:
Current MN RN license

BLS certification

APHON chemotherapy/biotherapy administration or ability to obtain certification within first 6 months of employment

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Experience with Vascular Access Devices (peripheral IVs, central lines, port-a-caths)

2 years of recent pediatric medical-surgical, oncology, critical care, or infusion experience
