Job Description:
The Cardiology Unit is an Intermediate Patient Care Unit providing continuous monitoring to Medical/Surgical CV patients; heart and lung transplant, cardiac, cardiovascular, pulmonary, post cardiac intervention. Bed capacity: 35. Performs advanced monitoring using current technology. Manages complex medication and infusion therapies. Care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions. Demonstrates ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Physical demands: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting-max 35lbs, push/pull-max. 35 lbs, balance, stooping/crouching, grasping, writing, finger dexterity/keyboarding, reaching, color vision, operate machinery, physical presence at work.

Job Qualifications:

MN RN License
BLS required
AD required
Preferred:
BSN or higher preferred
Certification in related specialty is highly desired
A minimum of one year current medical surgical RN experience in a Hospital setting is preferred.
