Do you have ER RN experience? We have an opportunity for you at Fairview Southdale Hospital
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
The registered nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible and accountable for patient assessment, analysis, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention application, and the identification and evaluation of outcomes for patients of all ages and populations. The scope of practice extends from a patient's entry into the emergency room, and continues from triage through discha rge. Care is centered on patients and families experiencing acute or chronic, actual or potential physical or psychosocial problems. Unique to emergency nursing are processes that require resuscitation and or stabilization. This is a day/evening position, 10 hour shifts wtih every other weekend. Benefit eligible.
Job Qualifications:
Required
Current RN License in state of Minnesota, BLS, ACLS prior to completion of orientation. Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within six months of hire. One year RN Emergency Department or adult ICU/Critical Care experience required.
Preferred
BSN. ACLS upon hire. Certification by the board of Certification for Emergency Nursing as a CEN, and/or course in advanced trauma nursing (ATCN).
Education
BA / BS in Nursing or related field
