Job Description:

  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to effectively time phase material to service cash flow objectives and program schedules
  • Plan, schedule and monitor the efficient movement of material from identification of the requirement to delivery to the end user
  • Responsible for managing large, complex programs
  • Plan and schedule materials and commodity products of high complexity for government and commercial programs
  • Coordinate material distribution with purchasing, warehouse, and end user
  • Chair material status meetings
  • Monitor and reconcile any relevant Supply Chain disruptions that develop throughout the program lifecycle
  • Develop strategies, implement plans and track progress for cost savings initiatives
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to provide ideas for improvement and represent functional perspective
  • Identify process improvements and facilitate implementation
  • Accountable for closeout of contractual obligations (e.g. deliveries and open commitments)

Essential Functions:

  • Motivated self-starter well versed in the Material Management Process Flow
  • Work should be performed within set boundaries and with very little direct supervision
  • Manage and complete purchase requisition release to general procurement and subcontracts teams
  • Prioritize procurement expedite activities, kit and floor shortages
  • Strong, in-depth knowledge in project management
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide array internal and external professional levels and functions
  • Apply innovation, comprehensive information gathering, analysis, and investigation to solve complex problems
  • Manage program budgets and explain variances in monthly performance
  • Ability to generate sales forecasts and variance reports
  • Follow strategic direction set by Program and functional leadership

Qualifications:

  • Requires proficient knowledge of job area
  • May have practical knowledge of project management
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and advanced concepts
  • Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, FAR, MMAS, and CAS requirements, as well as ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • APICS and/or ISM certification preferred, but not required

In compliance with California's Fair Pay Act, the salary range for this role in California is $54,500 - $110,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
