The Clinical Assistant assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meetin! g the mission and goals of Essentia. The Clinical Assistant assists the physician or provider and performs identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated. Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing program or Medical Assistant Program, or completion of SMDC Medical Assistant program offered in 1998.
Licensure/Credentials: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in appropriate state, i.e. Minnesota, Wisconsin, or current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant or ability to become certified within one year (must pass within two attempts) from date of hire.
