The Certified Nurse Practitioner is a member of the primary health care team who works in collaboration with physicians and other medical staff to provide comprehensive health care to patients. The Nurse Practitioner engages in independent decision making about health care needs and provides health care servi! ces to individuals. The Nurse Practitioner obtains patient his! tories, perform physical and psychological health assessments, provide patient and family education and counseling, ensure continuity of health care services, and manage acute and chronic disease conditions.
The NP will primarily be seeing return patients for existing providers in the clinic.
Job Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal adult or family nurse practitioner training program
Current MN RN license, Approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges. Certified through ANCC or eligible for ANCC national certification exam. Meets threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileging.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as an NP is desired.
