The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the well being and nursing care of all home health clients assigned to him or her during his or her shift or tour of duty. He or she travels to the clients' homes and provides nursing services following the patient’s treatment plan or physician’s directions, assesses patients and responds to and reports any changes in condition, distributes and charts medications, supervises other members of the team, and responds to emergencies.
The ideal candidate has a diploma in Nursing, holds a current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse, and has two y! ears of experience with some supervisory responsibilities. In ! addition, he or she holds a current certification in CPR and First Aid, has reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and current automobile insurance. Effective oral and written skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
