Hours: RN to work in busy St. Paul Clinic call center to provide patients with necessary answers to questions. Will work directly with resource nurses in the clinic to ensure family centered, well coordinated care is delivered to all patients.
Job Objective/Purpose:
This position exists to administer family-centered nursing care to patients, advise patients on health maintenance and ! disease prevention, and/or provide skilled assistance in navig! ation of the health care system as appropriate to the development, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families. Nurses' duties and title are determined by their work setting or patient population served.
Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Licensure or eligible for licensure in the state of MN as a Registered Nurse.
Current certification in CPR-BLS for Health Care Providers by the American Heart Association
Current PALS certification is required of RN's who work on the PICU, Resource Team and Neurosciences Unit nurses who are cross-trained in the PICU and Perianesthesia nurses providing direct patient care.
Must be interested in working with people with short term or long term disabilities that begin in childhood.
Excellent customer service skills.
Physically able to work hours required and meet physical demands of the position.
Strongly Preferred:
BS/BA in nursing.
Prior nursing experience in a health-related setting
Certification in specialty applicable for the position
